I had a lot fun shooting at the grand opening of the expanded Panavision New Orleans location. Yeah I know you aren’t supposed to have fun while you work, but that happens whenever you do something you love for/with the great people! Needless to say they got me Panavised! Thank you very much! The new 30,500-square-foot space also houses Light Iron’s first brick-and-mortar facility in Louisiana. The state-of-the-art facility represents the first location occupied by the two companies since Panavision acquired Light Iron, a leader in digital workflow solutions, earlier this year. If you are in the film industry I strongly suggest you to visit them, it is a great facility, great people and location, from pre-pro to post!

2014 Krewe of Zulu Pictures !
April 1st 2014
What an incredible Mardi Gras it was, my love/obsession for shooting with the rain came through this 2014 Mardi Gras day and on top of that I really got up and close to my all time favorite Krewe of Zulu for some unreal pictures! It was VERY cold and miserable, ( at least for New Orleans standards) but nothing great comes easy in life, does it…I suffered more than you can imagine, trust me on dat, but some of the Zulu photographs are in my opinion simply amazing! I’ll let you decide! ok?

As always click on each picture above to purchase a fine art print from my other site http://www.nolaPIC.com or to see many more in a larger size; The smaller size in here doesn’t do justice to the images!
2013 New Orleans Mardi Gras Photos
Here is a quick sample of some of my best shots taken during the super-mega-crowded 2013 Carnival season! More can be found on my other site http://www.nolaPIC.com where prints can be purchased…’Til next year: Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!!!
For some strange reasons I keep on getting attracted by the Maison LeMonnier. It’s really my European (Italian!) descent that I think drags me here. When shooting in the French Quarter I somehow end up shoot this corner house! Something about the paint job, its balconies and shutters that really, and I mean, REALLY, remind me my early life growing up in Italy…I truly love this building which they still call the skyscraper since it was the very first three stories high building in the French Quarter.
I actually have a couple more of Maison LeMonnier (!) taken during Mardi Gras but I won’t post them here on this blog, due to time and bandwidth constraints. Please check my site http://www.nolaPIC.com to see more and/or to purchase fine art prints.
The one and only… Jazz Legend Mr. Pete Fountain!
While walking in the French Quarter very bright and early, heard some music and I practically bumped into Pete Fountain with his marching band and float! He was ready to be getting interviewed by a local News Station WWLT and was nice enough to strike a pose for me.
